TAG Heuer Link Automatic Chronograph Slow Second Hand

I just bought the TAG Heuer Automatic Chronograph, CAT2010 BA0952. When I start the Chronograph, the Second Hand starts and then stops. It continues doing this and just won't move in a continuous or smooth motion. I've only had it for two days, so I thought this could have something to do with a low charge, but thought I would ask whether anyone else has see or heard of this type of issue. Does anyone know whether this is normal for a new automatic watch or should I have this looked at?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    CAT2010 is not a Carrera.

    Got a photo?

    edit:
ok, for some reason, I read Carrera in your original post.
    apologies.

The watch for which you give the model number is a mechanical watch which 'ticks' at 8 ticks per second. The description you use is for a quartz watch with 'ticks' at 1 tick per second.

If the above is a correct understanding, you do not have a genuine TAGHeuer but appear to have wasted your money on a fake. I hope I am wrong... but if it has a battery, it's a fake for sure.

Correct me if I am wrong -- I thought that our typical TAG's balance wheel vibrates 8 times per second (28,800/hour) but the second hand actually ticks 4 times per second (4 Hz)?

It is mechanical, no battery. Sorry, should've described it better. When I say "charge", I meant wearing it for a while to wind the spring. So if the chronogograph second hand ticks at 8 per second, that would seem like what it's doing, only every once in a while it will just stop altogether. It's movement is very jumpy. This is only on the hand that is started with the "stop watch". Not the movement of the regular seconds, minutes or hours hands.

Where did you buy it from Cmottla? There is a problem with the chronograph so it could be the hand is sticking or the watch might need a service. Either way I would say you're best sending it back.

I bought it brand new from a store that was listed on the TAG Heuer website Store Locator so I'm confident it's not a fake. The hand sticking is exactly what it's doing. If I gently shake it a bit, the hand will start again but will just keep sticking. So seems like I'll be taking advantage of that warranty early, I take it?

If you haven't had the watch over 30 days, you may be able to return it, I know my AD has a 30 return policy, because I took my silver faced Tag Heuer Link calbre 16 chronograph back and exchanged is for a black faced one since the white face was very hard to read.
