The Very Last Thing I Need!

I have six watches, all of them are nice watches. I have been wearing a Carrera Cal. 5 for the past two months and already feel funny because the rest are sitting. Then why the hell am I looking at these?

Not a great picture snatched from the internet but I've seen them in person, I like them. They are just a tad outside my comfort zone diameter wise but still I like them. I think this is one to put on hold until they are available pre owned under a thousand. Right now another tag (I have 2) is the last thing I need.

    But I like it,

Since you have already fallen off the deep end, a rescue attempt is probably pointless.

    Nah, I'm good man :)

It's a cross between boredom and a mild case of Watch Buyers Withdrawal, I have not purchased a watch since last August when I got that Carrera. What is that.......... almost 7 months pretty soon. That's the longest I've went for 4 years! I forgot all about an auction ending today for one of those James Bond Seiko's like Roger Moore wore in Octopussy. I was actually upset because it was mint and sold for 81 dollars, box papers, the works!

That's one I would have taken and never mentioned a word about. I don't use the term Beater but that would have been a great casual work at the cabin watch, darn.........

If you consider grey market, the current version of this watch (2014 version) is about 1,350 new. I have it and it is a great watch and in person, it really stands out with a far different approach than any diver I have seen before.

I find that I will always find something different from my collection that needs to further balance out my collection. White face.....hmmmm I don't have a white face watch, plenty of black faces, and the obsession begins........then you get it, a week later see a blue chronograph and think, ok, I have that Seamaster, but no Blue Chrono's in the collection......and on and on

I've been prowling around looking at them my friend, but I have to relax a bit on the idea. Summer is coming and I need to pump money into my business so I must wait. I'm pretty confident I mmay find one in December. I do like it though :)

Hey Ard, I totally understand. Sometimes we need to back away from spending so much on the hobby. You have a nice collection as it is. :)

I definitely feel your pain. Also, browsing the forums and seeing all these gorgeous watches doesn't help!

I'm OK at the moment because I changed watches last week. I had been wearing my Opaline dial Carrera Cal. 5 since early January and the Tag energy was definitely permeating my skin, a sort of osmosis was taking place I think. I changed to a Ball Trainmaster moon phase so I could gaze at the recent full moon right on my wrist instead of just in the night sky.

I can't say for sure when but I may get the AR.
