Flieger Automatic GMT Bracelet + Servicing

    Hello,

First post here! I've had a Flieger Automatic GMT for about ten years, and over time I have managed to break the original bracelet, which I have subsequently replaced with a cheap leather strap.

Does anyone know a good (and hopefully not too expensive) place to either repair or replace the bracelet? The damage is that one of the ends fixing the bracelet to the watch snapped, and it would need a new 'end piece' not knowing the proper term.

Also, the watch has picked up a few shallow scraches to the face - is this the sort of thing that can be 'polished out', or would it be a new face?

Finally - mine seems to lose about 90 seconds a week - is this typical, or should I look at getting it serviced to fix this?

Thanks for any advice - I'm not a watch guru, just looking to restore my Fortis to its original beauty!

    Thanks,

    FR

    Hi floating_rock,

Maybe you can post a picture of the broken bracelet part,,,, !?

The lost of 90 seconds is adjusted in half an hour by a serious Fortis watchmaker. (been there-done that )

Thanks for the replies so far.

The bracelet is at my folks house, broke it in a rogue ski crash a while ago. I'll pick it up in due course and put a picture up, hopeful that it can be repaired.

Any recommendations for somewhere (in the UK) to get it serviced and/or fix the bracelet? I'd sooner not spend a small fortune on getting it up and running!

    Regards,

Hi again, you do not mention what part of the world you are from but your watch can be serviced by any good watch shop as the movment is ETA. T
The strap can be fixed at http://www.pilotswatches.co.uk/Fortis.htm and they will service the watch as well.

In the US send it to Dan at Timeless watch exchange, I have done buisness with both and they are very good,
