    Marinemaster accuracy

I bought a new Marinemaster a few weeks ago and i'm very impressed. For the first week or so i didn't monitor the accuracy. Then i decided to check it at the same time each day.

For 10 days the watch was worn each day and kept overnight in a box, dial upwards. It ran between +1 and +5 seconds/day.
The next 10 nights it was on it's side, crown up. It ran between -1 and +2 seconds/day.

I know this is more an observation rather than any sort of "scientific" test, but i just thought some of you guys may be interested. Particularly anyone thinking of buying one.

    Thanks for reading.

That's pretty darn good. Mine is very accurate also. I've had it for 8 days and it has only lost 1 second during those 8 days. Not -1/day, that's -1/8days! I time it at the link below and leave it dial up overnight.

I have underpar's previous black faced marinemaster and it has been phenomenally accurate as well. Over the past 10 days it has been +1s TOTAL. I think that's pretty fantastic. Thanks again underpar for a great watch!

    Glad it's still running perfect!

My B-42 Cosmonauts Automatic, with the same ETA 2836-2 movement as your Marinmaster, will in a few weeks become three years old.

And the failure rate of my watch?

    -11 seconds/168 hours/7 days (sunday to sunday) = -1,5 seconds/day
I always check it out, sunday evening, so I got the right time on monday morning, my first working day of the week.

Love to have a watch that still preforms, as if it were COSC certified!

Thanks for your replies. Glad to see other happy owners out there.

I continue to check mine each day. It is still between -1 and +2 seconds each day. Interestingly after gaining 17 seconds in the first week of checking, the next three weeks were +2,+1 and +2 seconds/week taken on the same day.

    Re: Marinemaster accuracy

Tested to screw 10-15 turns on the crown after I took my watch off in the evening for ten days.
    When the result was + 5 sec/10 days = + 0.5 seconds per day ! !
    Incredible or what?

Will be testing 7-8 turns per day, and see if I can get it to go + - 0 sec / day.
