Confused Question about the newer inner/outer boxes for B42 Cosmonaut

I bought a Titanium B42 Cosmonaut in 2010 from an AD in LA, I just got a SS B42 and the box is like double in size...(it seems like it anyway and it's now a pull out drawer rather than a flip top)Name: 20170320_184230.jpg

    Only recently.
My less than Two year old Marinemaster came in the smaller box, and a new Flieger Professional bought about 3 months ago was in the larger box.

Thanks for the responses, I am by no means complaining. I was just a bit surprised when they stepped it up a notch and went from a nice box to an even nicer one.

Interestingly, I purchased two new Terrestis models in the last two months and one came in newer-style larger box and one came in smaller older-style box. I am guessing that the one in smaller box is older stock.

Re: Question about the newer inner/outer boxes for B42 Cosmonaut

My most recent purchases have all come in the larger box as well. I kind of have mixed feelings about it. While there's no denying that it's nicer in quality than the previous versions, it's so big that unless I were to keep the watch in it when I'm not wearing it (which I don't), it almost feels like a waste and takes up a bunch of storage space. I think for the size I'd like it to have some level of display functionality vs. just a pull-out drawer, something that would look good sitting out on a dresser or bureau. It also adds $$ to shipping costs if you got charged (or if you flip it down the road). Oh well I guess things could be much worse than a luxury item in a really nice box lol.

I have to agree about the larger box taking up more space. My watch storage bin looks like some weird puzzle :)
