Remove/replace Fortis Marinemaster sawtooth bezel with coin bezel?

    Hi all,

Since I'm facing difficulties to find a brand new Marinemaster with coin bezel I'm now thinking about buying the sawtooth and to replace the bezel with the old, coin bezel.

Now, my question is, is the new sawtooth Marinemaster exactly the same as the former model, except for the bezel?

The second question is, the old Marinemaster bezel and the Cosmo bezel looks just the same, but are they exactly the same?

It it extremly frustrating to realize that when you finally have sufficient funds to buy the watch you have been dreaming of is no longer produced!

But still if I'll get the sawtooth Marinemaster and buy a Cosmo bezel as a spare part and combine these to I'll might get the watch I've been so long looking for.

Does anybody know if this mod is possible?

Hi Henka, no I am afraid that you will have to keep looking.

The bezel change is not possible between the 2 watches, I have been down that road as well but I was in the reversed order...... I wanted the chain saw on my blach carbon crono so I checked with Fortis Info and they informed me it was not possible.

"Probably" it's just as easy to change bezel ring on a Fortis as it is on a Rolex Sub,,,,

How to change the bezel on your Submariner or GMT for that matter (DYI vid) - YouTube

How to change the bezel insert on your Rolex Submariner - YouTube

There is however a difference in the attachment of the plastic insert, the Sub got a "pop in" type as can be seen on both videos, while Fortis insert is glued to the bezel.

Of course the answer from Fortis is no,
the would sell new watches, instead of renovating old ones to latest style.

    Thanks for the answers.
It might also be possible it's not coming loose. I have a Victorinox Divemaster 500 and I've been trying to remove the bezel from it like crazy, I applied as much force I possibly deared without it even slightly moving the bezel - different angles and moving the bezel didn't change a thing. You got to thank Seiko (and apparently Rolex aswell) for making it so easy to remove their bezels.

Hopefully someone has experience regarding this bezel removal.

This is a good Q, I have the Marine master chrono - coin bezel and the new chainsaw analogue, I was thinking of switching the two bezels so I hope it's possible, but I will wait for someone else to try instead of messin with my watches, hehe.
