Time for some plane spotting at FRA

The weather was great today - time to head out to the airport to do some plane spotting. Unfortunately I managed only a few good shots before the batteries of the camera died on me O|
I've been dying to get a pic of the Lufthansa A321 in 1960s paint job. Unfortunately this was the closest I could get It looks awesome in person! My personal fav. is the Fokker F70.

I had never seen that Lufthansa Airbus in the old livery, and I agree with you, it looks super! What great idea btw.

Nice pics ! I'm off to FRA tomorrow for a trade show at the Messe (taking my U2 ).

Last time I went thorugh I noticed the 'U.S. base on the opposite side of the airport appeared to be closed...is it not used an more?

They closed the US Air Base earlier this year. All operations were moved to Ramstein AB near Kaiserslautern. Have fun in Frankfurt - it's a great city! Good watch choice too!
