    Breitling Seawolf - New Pics - I think I am paranoid :)

This is an update of my previous post.... I pulled the trigger on my first B. I spent a lot of time here and on the web looking at fake info and signals. I don't have a Breitling dealer near me though so have only handled a few. This was purchased off of craigslist locally and so I was able to check it out in person. The seller checked out and everything on the watch did from what I could see.

Warranty Card and COSC cert match the watch, all info/serial/manuf date ethcing looked good, the small B was there at 11 on the bezel. Lume is strong and the box set looked pretty good. If it was a fake it may be the best ever, but figired what the heck post it up for the pro's to see. As the original pics show, it needs a trip to the spa and is right now running about 7 seconds slow... it has been sitting in his dresser for about 6 months and I have not worn it consistently yet.

As they say, buy the seller... A key thing is I noticed the bracelet and case manufacturer dates where and I didnt say anything. In the course of our conversation, he mentioned he had to have it replaced because the first one failed. That is also when he picked up the rubber strap. Everything felt right. I asked him a lot of WIS type questions and could tell he was just a guy who's buddy is a jeweler and talked him into a nice watch. The wear was consistent with his profession also.

Sellers pics are the attachments, and mine are below. I have chased this exact watch since I started playing with this hobby about 3-4 years ago, so this is truly a grail, especially on my watch budget :) A watch of this caliber truly feels that much better in your hands.. The nicest I have owned so far was my Tag Heuer 500m and is a great piece, but the Seawolf is in a whole different class, truly.

For anyone interested and reference, I paid $1050 with a full box set and the below Pro 1 Rubber. It is also pretty rough but a nice bonus. I have always had safe queen condition watches. It actually feels kind of nice to have a watch I can just wear and not put a hermetically sealed bubble around it.... Although I am sure after the spa trip the bubble will be back ;)

Thanks to everyone here who helps advise on these type of forums for us less experienced. It really makes it possible to go out on a limb and pick something up I may not be able to otherwise. Enough rambling, I wanted to share my story... I am a bit excited for those who couldn't tell... Now on to the pics so I can finally have my mind set at ease.

    Re: Breitling Seawolf Double Check

    Hello,
It looks a bit rough but in other aspects quite right. So, unless you can spot something when you see it in person, proceed with caution and listen to your gut. If negotiating price take into consideration the $3-400(maybe more) a full service/overhaul is going to set you back. From the looks of it, that won't be very far off.
    Cheers,
    SnapIT
