    Fake or not

    Hi,
I bought a Breiling watch on ebay, a few years ago. I am not an expert. Do you guys think it is real? Thanks! It measures 37.5 mm without crown.

    Re: Fake or not

I am saying 'Fake' based on the '115' Gold master mark , 115 is associated with "Favre & Perret SA" , a watchmaker now owned by the swatch group

Don't believe me or anything I say just because I say it ... do your own research , ask questions and get answers , find out what you can , do background searches on the (vintage) watch you're interested in AND on the seller , only if you do all of that you will be able to determine the authenticity of the watch you're interested in

    Re: Fake or not

Thanks guys. I thought of selling it. I just brought it to an AD, but there wasn't an expert there. The staff seem to think it was real. I will take it to a good watchmaker tomorrow.
If the 115 is a false number for a Breitling, I have to agree it is fake. Or could there be an explanation?

    Re: Fake or not

(most) AD's wont have a clue as the Breitling company we know today only started in the early 80ies and about the vintage pieces they have very little knowledge
But you may want to ask here as well The Breitling Watch Source Forums • View forum - Vintage Breitling Discussion as its a dedicated forum to Vintage Breitling
