I've been browsing the Searaider threads and it is clear that I am missing out.

One of these years I have to make the trip.

Thanks to everyone who has been and taken the time to post pics on here so the rest of us can live vicariously through your good times.

If you're missing it so much now is the time to get off the fence and come and join us for the Searaider 2013 on Feb 23 - March 2, 2013 in Grand Cayman.
The same is valid for all the others on this lovely forum of ours that through out the years said that "next year" will join us but they never did.
Diving is at its best and the whole group is fun-tastic.

when do you guys start to put together the trip?

We just came back from the 2013 trip a few weeks ago, but I'm starting to put together the 2014 trip right now. I'll announce that trip in the coming weeks, but if you need to get a general idea, I do know the dates will be Feb 22nd - March 1st. Pricing hasn't changed much in the last few years, so I don't see it changing much from the 2013 trip, to the 2014 trip. Here's what 2013 pricing looked like:

7 nights accommodation
6 days of two tank dives
1 x afternoon Lionfish hunt.
1 x Kittiwake dive
1 x night dive

Car rental per condominium for entire stay

Cost is $1,640.00 per diver inc tax based on two sharing a one bedroom unit
Cost is $2,195.00 per diver inc tax based on single occupancy in a one bedroom unit
Cost is $1,895.00 per diver inc tax based on two sharing a two bedroom two bathroom unit
Cost is $1,395.00 per diver inc tax based on four sharing a two bedroom two bathroom unit

These rates are based on air dives, so Nitrox is extra. I don't remember exactly what the per/tank pricing was, but it's not out of line compared to mainland US pricing. We did add one more dive, which was essentially a shark dive, that wasn't shown in the above pricing. It will be included in the 2014 trip pricing.

It's a heck of a good time, and shouldn't be missed if you dive, and like DOXAs.
