    Authentic Type Marine?

    Hi all-
I'm new to B&R's and just bought one from what looked to be a good eBay seller. I paid just over $600 for a new without box Type Marine 200m. I've notice that the hour and second hands are painted all white? Does this mean if I have black outlines on my hour and second hands I bought a fake/replica?

How does one tell the difference?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    PS-can post pictures if necessary

You'll need to post pictures. The black dial Marine has white hands; the white dial, which I have, has black hands.

Looks fine to me. That's the correct colour scheme for the white dial version, anyway. Rest of it looks fine from here. As to whether it's quartz or automatic - can you not tell...?

That looks good but some of the fakes out there are very well done. I have a Type Demineur coming in this week also from the same auction site and I am a bit concerned. Does anyone know if B&R will verify serial numbers over the phone? I'm thinking about maybe calling the Miami service center about this.

sorry to bump such an old thread but did you ever find out if B&R verify's SN's via phone? what did you think of your watch from the ebay retailer? i've received multiple thumbs up that my watch is in fact authentic. just curious to see if you ever heard anything?
