    B&R service

Has anyone sent their B&R to the service center in Miami for work? I am thinking of getting my 02-92 serviced but wanted to see how you guys packaged/insured the watch and felt about the experience/costs? How long did it take? I emailed their customer service and received a simple "order" form for the service. Is that all I have to do? Sorry for all of the questions, I've just never sent a watch off to have work done before.

    Thanks!

    Re: B&R service

I recently sent my 01-97 Commando to the Florida Service Center to get the bezel replaced and it took about 4-5 weeks. They had estimated 4-6 weeks. They do seem to on occasions miss emails and their response time is sometimes slow. I shipped my watch to them via USPS Express and got no confirmation that they had received it. Emailed them and nothing... so I called them the next day and left a message. The following day Patricio called me and informed me that he had received the watch. A few days later he email me the estimate and asked me to approve the service. After I approved it I didn't hear back for like 4 weeks, till the watch was ready. Got the watch back via FedEx. Hope that helps.

Thanks for this post. I'm going to have my 01-94 ltd sent in while I'm out here in the middle east, so the delays hopefully wont affect me too much. It started building up a haze on the inside of the glass, almost like little water marks that seemed to grow over the past year.
    Again, thanks, and gl max.

    Re: B&R service

Update. Shipped my 01-94 to the Miami repair center in late October, took them 3 weeks to get an estimate emailed to me, which I immediately approved, and still not completed. A little disappointed because for the price of the watch, MSRP $6,000 USD, you'd think they'd take care of customers at least a bit better. The crystal began to fog up inside, which is why I sent it in. They quoted me a cost to remove and polish the crystal. I then emailed them and voiced my concern that simply polishing the crystal wouldnt fix whatever caused it to fog up and stain in the first place. I was then told that the crystal seal failed, and it would be replaced. A 2 year old watch, they recognize their seal failed, and I'm still paying a couple hundred dollars....So far, 8 weeks into the repair, I'll post when I get a reply from them, or really, when they want me to pay, as that'll be the final step....
