Feldmar Watch Company, Omega Planet Ocean and Bell & Ross.

On the recommendation of a few L4P and WUS members, I went to Feldmar Watch Company in Los Angeles, and intended on picking up an Omega Planet Ocean in the 45.5mm variant, with the latest 8500 cal. I spoke with Sol Meller, the company President, on Monday, and struck a deal over the phone. I drove down Saturday to go pick it up as I wanted to get it sized on the spot and didn't want to get it shipped. Plus, I figured I'd look at other watches there as well.

So I got my Omega I had been lusting over the last couple of weeks. Here are some professional grade iPhone photos

    Don't mine the smudges...

    Crappy lighting...

The lume is just out of this world!

So as I was looking around, I couldn't resist just leaving with only one piece, so I ended up getting a Bell & Ross 03-92. While it's only 42mm, it fit just PERFECT on my wrist! I thought the 46mm would have been a must, and while it didn't look terribly out of place, it IS pretty damn big! So the 42 was the way to go!

    And the two together:

    And with crappy lighting:

All in all, it was an awesome Saturday for me! I have to give mad props to Sol, and Marco who helped me picking out a second watch. Feldmar is a top notch operation, with zero bullshit! I was especially stoked to see that the watches I got were brand spanking new in their original boxes (the PO was in the clear Omega shipping container), untagged, and unmolested.

They have so many watches there, it was so hard not to get more, but I had to restrained myself. I've got my eyes on a limited edition U-Boat (forgot the model), and a Mont-Blanc already...

PS: In Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, we don't have jack when it comes to AD's for anything good, but from now on, Feldmar will be my go to AD!

WOW! What a weekend! Two awesome watches!!
So you found that the 45mm Omega wears smaller than the 46mm B&R, or you went for a less expensive "2nd" purchase??
Just curious, but in either case, congrats on the iconic purchases from both brands!!!

Yeah, the omega seems to wear smaller than the 46mm B&R. Probably due to the squared corners of the B&R. But I did want to get something cheaper for my 2nd purchase too, so the 03-92 was just the one to get :)

Thanks! 18cm or 7.1 inches. Although I measured it at 19cm or 7.5 cm the other day. Tiny wrists lol, but I'm a big guy. Go figure!

GodFather, can't go wrong with any square instrument!!
I find that the Carbon versions look smaller than the steel versions!
Which is why I have a few Carbon 01's!

    Enjoy.
