Exclamation New BR PW1 & WW1: First Looks & Reactions

Looks like B&R is starting to let us know whats in store at BASEL.

I'm not a huge pocket watch guy, so I'm not too interested in the BR-PW1.

However I do quite like how clean the BR-WW1 looks. It would look good with a mesh steel band, although that would distract from it's military inspirations.

Do we know any real details about the BR-PW1 & BR-WW1 outside of the image below?
    What do you think?

Ack, why does that date have to be wedged in the 3 like that??? Pretty distracting.

I like both. The PW1 looks a little cleaner with centered sec vs 7pm PR dial on the WW1, but I'd probably go for the WW1 over a pocket watch.

-That's funny that the date doesn't show up on all the press photos. I prefer it without. I wonder if there's 2 variants?

-What's the case size? your average pocket watch is pretty big...I think 42mm to 44mm would be great for the PW1.

-Are the lugs removable to switch straps? My hunch is that there has to be a way. B&R can't be sewing straps onto each piece

-Guess we'll have to wait for some live shots...

I'm thinking the WW1 would look great on a stitchless brown ammo.

    PW1 is 49mm, WW1 is 45mm.

No no no, that went so wrong...

WW1: Lose the date, center second and power reserve and take the small second from the PW1. Voila: a keeper.

Totally agree, small seconds at the 6 would look great. I like the crown.

Back in WWI, apparently, no one cared about the exact minute. Where do today's watch designers come from; stupid.

The date set into the 3 like that is really weird - I don't like it at ALL!

    cheers.
