    Scratches on Black BR03/01?

I've been reading some comments about the PVD finish on black BR01/03's. I'd love to hear from you guys who have one on how they are doing scatch wise. I am concerned that if I get one it will end up looking scratched and tatty.

I have other watches so won't be wearing it every day but it be used in every day conditions.

    Your advice is appreciated.

It is my personal opinion that the PVD scratches easily... specially on the bezel due to the sharp edges. If scratches on PVD bother you, you are better off with a SS version... or a ceramic version.

Can anyone confirm this...No offense to thsiao.I am in the same boat as OP,love the look of the PVD but dont like to invest if it scratches easily. The first scratch is the most painful though.

I'd confirm it. I mean "easily" is a very objective word, but after a year and half of on again off again wearing, my PVD has exactly what thsiao's talking about. It's right on the edge of the bezel. But tbh, as you said, the "first cut is the deepest". The only one that can really see it is me. It's not THAT noticeable to a passerby. So it doesn't bother me that much. At the end of the day it kinda adds a little character to the watch.

Just look at the for sale section pics. Most you can see some scratches on.

I can't speak for B&R but I owned a Tutima which was PVD and the coating wore off quite a bit. Watch wasn't even a year old. I love the look but if I decide for a black watch then I will go DLC.
