    Should I wait?

    Hey everyone,

Been a huge fan of Bell & Ross for a while now, but some other watch always found itself one step ahead of a B&R. Now its back at the top! I always intended to go for the carbon 03-92; to me it is the quintessential B&R. But.. I also have an affinity for titanium. As I am recently back in the market for a B&R i noticed that there is a 42mm titanium case (03-51). I had always thought that titanium was only available in the 46mm cases.

So my question is, should I wait and hope that B&R releases a titanium 03-92, or is that just wishful thinking? While the 03-51 certainly is a nice piece, I prefer the simplicity of the 03-92.

On an unrelated note, does anyone sport their B&R on the provided nylon strap, or a black NATO strap? I always envisioned a caron 92 looking very appropriate on a black nato. i would
    love to see some pics.

It seems in all the strap threads everyone loves leather.

    Cheers

    Hey Stratickus,
Being that Basel is now behind us and they didn't announce a Ti 03-92, I'd say it's not gonna happen for a while I think ceramic is the "new Ti"
If you want the simplicity of the 92 and you like the look of the Ti, why not just go SS? Although I personally like the 03-51 more.
Here's a pic on a canvas, though not the black one

That could be quite a bit of waiting. You'd have to be more patient than I am.

I never really thought of ceramic being the new Ti. It certainly fits the light weight aspect that Ti usually fulfills. If there was a Carbon look ceramic offered I probalby would go for it. I prefer the simple black and white of the carbon over the current ceramic color combos.

Though in most watches (not all) I prefer the aesthetic look of Ti over SS, in the case of B&R I was more interested in the Ti for the weight 'advantage.' I much prefer the carbon 92 to the SS 92. If, for argument sake there was a Ti 92 offered, it would be a tough choice for me because, based off aesthetics alone, I prefer the the Carbon to Ti, but like I said, I do have a weird affinity for Ti.

It seems to me that if B&R were so inclined it would be exceptionally easy to offer a Ti 92. They already have all the compenents required: 42mm Ti case, movement and (if i were choosing) the SS/Carbon face.

    Pow! Ti 92!

I see you've got your heart set on a Ti-92, so you may be waiting a lot longer, but just fyi, they did announce a black 03-92 ceramic at Basel.

Black ceramic 92 you say? Hmm.. I suppose I could wait a little longer..

I would rather have a B&R sooner than later, and I would just a soon get one that I like now (Carbon 92) than wait indefinitely for a watch that may or may not ever be made.

I did take a look at the Basel World photos and the BR01 Altimeter really caught my eye. I don’t know much about Basel, other than that it appears to be a large watch expo. Were those 'BR 01 Novelty' concepts or next year's models? I may have to seriously reconsider the 46mm case. When i tried them on, I thought 42, especially with the square case, was about as big as I could wear without it looking 'too big.'

I agree that the Altimeter has a great design, but from what I have found, the watch was a limited edition of only 500 pieces.

Which will set you back a few more LBo's than the 03
I was thinking the same thing. The Altimeter is definitely my favorite new 01 of the bunch, so if you're willing to spend more would be a great choice!!
BTW, I believe the new LEs are limited to 999 pcs. now
