What a great place this is :)
I hope some expert here may assist me with this issue.
I have owned and worn, what I now know is an "Arnie", since new (probably the mid 70'ties), and it has been absolutely brilliant for all these years.
But over the last 5 years it has become increasingly more and more difficult to adjust the digital clock and functions, because it is almost impossible to control the backwards turning of the knob and the forward turning isn't too precise either. Obviously I have to fiddle with this on 28/29th. feb, 3 out of 4 years, so it is a bit annoying. Apart from this and DLST (which is no big deal, since it does not involve changing of dates and weekdays) I never adjust it, it runs extremely precisely.
This year I was unable to get the date and weekday right, even after fiddling for hours.
Next week a local young watchrepairman will have a look at it, but he does not know the model, so I would like to be able to tell him, what he should look for, if someone here knows, I allready know that new spareparts is not an option.
He expects, it might be a matter of cleaning some contacts, do you agree?
Cheers
/Henrik
