Who has a real Baumuster A?

Is there someone who can give me an additional Hi-res picture of an original WWII Baumuster A Laco watch?

Mr. Pfeiffer already gave me a Hi-res picture with the original hands But the digits of that dial have been redone at some point in time I think. I'm hoping to find some better pictures for a comparison so that the end result can be as perfect as possible. I'm going to do the same very best effort with this watch as with the Baumuster B. This time the blued hands will be done at the same time.

    Greetings,
    Frank from _be lgium

    Gents,

It is with heavy heart I must bow out of the project co-ordination of Laco A.

I am moving to Europe for my job and that is taking up all my free time for next several months.

If anyone will be kind enough to volunteer, please email me and I will send you the updated spreadsheet for signup.

    Cheers,
    Bhanu

    hi Frank,

this one is a scan from
    Konrad Knirim,
Die Uhren der deutschen Streitkräfte 1870 bis 1990.
    Bottrop: Pomp, 1998.
    Page 199
    (see also page 198)

This watch No. 781 was delivered on 07.02.1942.

I know that the scan is not of the best possible quality,
but hope it still might help.

    Hi Bhanu/guys,

I understand I am one of the initiators of this project but I would like to take my name out of #7/50. Should anyone want to take that number, it is available.

I have a few misgivings concerning the quality of the Laco LE that needs to be sorted out. I am not happy with the winding quality, the small movement vs the case size and the little niggles like the botched laser engraving etc. I cannot appreciate the Laco in my humble collection.

    My apologies!

    best regards,
    Jason

I tried very hard to open the case using the tool provided by Laco, but no success. I guess I will ask one of the AD for help. Anyone succeeded?

Thanks for the explanation, what kind of tasks the volunteer has to do, because I will love to be that person, but I´m not sure of being able to do it

    Cheers

I used my usual tool - a pair of (ex-)highprecision steel callipers. Opened reluctantly.
I just wanted to check out the movement "in person".
