The lume definitely touches the numbers and hour markers and just reaches the very ends of the minute markers or at least comes close. Does the lume on the Stowa FO's hands reach all the way to the minute markers?

I am going to email Mr. Pfeiffer about the onion crown suggestions.

We should agree on the lume and put to that to rest since lume seems to much discussed topic.

Please give precise input for the lume (which numbers, hands, etc.)

    Cheers,
    Bhanu

Personally, I think we should keep it close to the to the Original. Hands, Minute markers, the Minute numbers: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, also the dots on inner circle (not the circle itself) and the arrow. I believe Crusader suggested that?

That would appear to be the historically correct pattern.

The hour and minute hands lume are obvious, the second hand should be lomed from the center axis to the tip (the long side only).

Mr. Pfeiffer has requested a (mock up) picture of the lume exactly as we want as suggested by Martin.
Would anyone like to attempt a mock up picture to provide to Laco?

    Thank you,
    Bhanu

Re: LACO Pilot (Forum Project) - Update

I believe this is the lume pattern we are looking for:

From this post: LACO Pilot Baumuster B Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

I am having second thoughts about the minute hand, to be honest (sorry).

Having seen so many pictures of original Baumuster B B-Uhren, I find the "sword hand" that widens towards the tip (perhaps Janne can repost his excellent picture of his original, much like in the Wempe picture above) is much more characteristic of and fits the Baumuste B better than the thin hand hitherto proposed by Laco that is identical with the minute hand of Baumuster A.

Any chance for Laco to get those for our project?

Re: LACO Pilot (Forum Project) - Update

I also would like to see a lume pattern the same as on the Type B dials. Sadly, I don't have any good photos of the Laco, but here's an illustrative photo of the Lange (the dial is in superb condition on this one, :thanks again Crusader!).

I would also like to see the minute hand be a bit wider. I'd like to add to my earlier blued hands comment: I am voting for chemically blued hands (not painted blue, not black hands).

I'd love to get a spare hand set and see if I could get a watchmaker to attempt to flame blue them for installation on this watch.

I agree that the crown on the latest mockup isn't quite right. It's too angular. As one can see in all the B-uhr photos, the crown contours are smooth.

Ok, gentlemen! Here are some more pics of the B-uhr.

As you kan all see, I am unable to take a pic really close up or without a reflection.
    I hope this is sufficient
And a pic of the crown: I tried to magnify, but could not.

I like the dial lume exactly as Janne and Crusader describe. Dots and Arrow only on Hour-circle, all hands of course, all Min lines with 15,30,45,&12 (Arrowtip) thicker as Janne's original watch, and Minuite/Second numerals (10,20,30,40,50). Historical, readable, and unique compared to "lesser" watches. Where's my number #11/50?
