Re: LACO Pilot (Forum Project) - Update

I understand exactly what you mean! Another mockup ( thin outside circle, arrow closer to 12, new crown) and I think we are ready to put in the order!
    Latest mockup
    From Laco's site

    And 1940 original
See the difference in position of the arrow / 12 ? Just a slight reposition is needed! Then it will be 100%!

Re: LACO Pilot (Forum Project) - Update

It seems to me that the mockup picture is the same as in this post:

LACO Pilot Baumuster B Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

The crown is still wrong and I see no outer ring... apologies if I'm mistaken.

    Regards,
    Andy

Yes, that is correct! My point was that the arrow in this (latest) mock up
is slightly to low compared to Laco's current 42 mm production and the 55mm original from 1940ies.
Next (last?) mockup Bhanu will get from Laco will undoubtly have all the elements in position, arrow, dots on inner circle and an outer circle!
    Greetings Janne

Re: LACO Pilot Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

I received update from Mr. Pfeiffer this morning:

+ The wider minute hands will require several weeks waiting time. So I mentioned to him that maybe we will make the blue hands with wider minute a separate project after this project is completed.

+ The lume patterns as agreed by us will be done accordingly

+ The side engraving is not a problem and here is a mock up:

+ I am still awaiting answer on the sand blasted case similar to 55mm

So, basically after we receive the right crown, we will be ready for production We will receive an update on the crown this week.

    Cheers,
    Bhanu

Re: LACO Pilot Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

    Hello guys,

I am seaching for the "domed" saphir crystal!!

On that picture, the crystal seems to me not really domed or what would you say??

If I compare it with my 55mm Replica Automatic, that is much more domed.

If possible I will make a photo in order to point out what I really mean.

    Any comments from your side??

    Best regards

Not sure I get you right but reading the specs Laco already agreed to .......

    Features Agreed by Laco:

+ Solid caseback engraved "limited edition" with Laco logo and Nr.
+ Hand wound modified ETA 2824 (hacking)
    + Free-of-inscription-no-date-dial, type: Baumuster B
+ Lume dots on hour circle and lowered arrow below 12
+ An onion crown (Laco is searching for the right crown)
    + A domed sapphire crystal
    + Superluminova C3 lume
+ Engraving "FL23883" on the side of the case
+ Limit lume only to the following: minute numbers 10,20,30,40, and 50, minute markers, dots on hour circle, arrow, and hands

    ....... but maybe I missed something ?

Re: LACO Pilot Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

Sounds like we're just about there.

I agree on the hands also.

A separate thread has been started for a blued hand retrofit project here:

"Flame-Blued Hands" Project (retrofit for Laco Pilot Baumuster B)

This project will begin after the specifications for the watch have been completely finalized.

Any thoughts, ideas, or comments would be welcome. I've volunteered to coordinate this project, so anybody interested in getting in on it should indicate their interest in the above thread or in a PM to me.

    Thanks,

    John
