I exchanged few emails late last night with Mr. Pfeiffer.

He said these will be the final changes to the dial as we proposed in the overview thread. The final draft with crown will be done before end of this week. I will post the picture as soon as I receive. Lume, outer circle, and sand blasted case were all submitted. I have received confirmation on lume and outer circle.

Mr. Pfeiffer will be on leave for 2 weeks from this coming weekend so his goal is to complete the dial before end of this week.

The the ordering process starts next week.

    Cheers,
    Bhanu
Thank you for your invaluable coordination of this project. You have done a good thing here. Will the final draft drawings show the Domed Sapphire Crystal? I haven't seen this particular feature in any of the illustrations as yet.

Just an observation about Laco: Thet make a lot of watches with Company logos etc, so they must have the know how and facilities to change the dials "easily".
Also, compared to the other German manufacturers, they seem to have the "lower end" part of the business. Not meaning this negatively in any way!
I hope this Project can give them the confidence to go and play with the more established companies. with the superb heritage they have, and the excellent cooperation they have with us, I think they deserve that, to be put again where they belong, making quality timepieces!
    Just being philosophical, Yours Janne

Thanks Bhanu! Please give our regards to Mr Pfeiffer. This project should come out the best looking type B dial outside the original 55mm but wearable!

    best regards
    Jason

Re: LACO Pilot Special Edition (Forum Project Wach) - Discussion

I want to thank all of you who have done a fine job over the last three weeks to get this project off the ground and just about finalized. I can't believe the speed, the intelligent discussion, and the consensus that has materialized in such a short amount of time.

I came across this project yesterday while surfing the net and the minute I saw it I sent an email to Bhanu. Yesterday I received confirmation that I have number 31 and while I am late to the party I have read each of the posts in this forum (now I'm ready for a nap!).

I have a Glycine KMU48, a Stowa MO, and a Stowa FO LE that was supposed to be shipped last week (I don't know what the problem is this time, I hope Joerg doesn't have the flu again) and I think this watch will be my most prized possession.

And to think that I wouldn't have even known about this watch if I hadn't done a Google search and stumbled across it!
