I'd definitely go for option A.

I assume the price would be in the neighborhood of 1000 Euro, about the price of the Stowa Flieger Limited Edition.

If Laco uses the modified Unitas movement, they'll be charging more than €700. They'll probably charge more then 400 € for the Automatic version. If you check out their online shop, they charge 749 € for their Automatic Series 1 Pilot watch with the Type A dial.

If they were to use the Durowe movements that they have on hand, then they could charge less.

Option A for me, but no larger than 42mm please and with a real (i.e. complete) onion winder. Also like the engraving idea. I'd pay up to 900 Euro for such a watch.

Re: LACO Pilot Watch-Have your say!!!!!!!!

Sorry, folks, no "pre-order" here from me. Not that I don't like the project, but I already do have a Laco B-dial, at the moment waiting for conversion (black/red date disk, decorated 2824) and am waiting for my FO/LE.

My present Stowa Flieger will have to leave me, and my immediate Flieger desires are satisfied - now I will, at least for a while, be content just wearing and enjoying them.

I really think with both dial types in hommages from two of the original makers, my B-Uhr hommage needs are fulfilled.

However, I also thought my Stowa Flieger would never leave me, until Joerg announced the FO, so, one never knows.

I will follow the project with interest.
Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.

One day I'll have a Type B option. I do like the idea of this project.

Both the option A and B are fine with me. The remarks above about the crown- agree 100%. Also it should sit on a short "stem".
And I would like the option to buy a solid caseback if it comes with a see thru one.
Durowe movement- does anybody have some info about it, maybe some pics?
Cost if possible under 1000 Euro. OK if a little bit more.
Not sure what the name of the dial variation is, I would prefer the one where the hour markings are on a smaller ring inside the dial. Not like Fachiro1 is showing, just like the Wempe one earlier in the thread.

Some info about Durowe can be found here, which I believe now owned by Joerg Schauer

There is a definite demand so i think Laco needs to launch "series 2". Two case sizes: 40 or 41mm and 44 or 45mm. Type A and B dials. No date and no logo of course and should be the exact scaled down version of their 55 mm replika. If this is not possible in the near future then i would suggest something simpler... A "no date, no logo" version of their 860884 model.

44-45 is to big, the crown is very prominent, will dig into the back of the hand. Unless you wear it on the right paw! And I have looked on the Durowe site, but an not sure which movement model Jorg has!

I do wear my watches on my right But i agree with you that 44-45 is too big (at least for me) so i would go for the 40-41. It doesnt matter to me if its auto or handwind as long as it has the "correct" look.
