because the watch will be more expensive due to the tax, what about getting an additional strap for free from laco (the pilot's strap and and a "normal" one)?

Laco cannot be blamed for the tax. Blame the Government.
Laco already include the shipping. Which for some of us will be quite costly. Additional pilots strap is 49 Euro. I have ordered one, because I am unsure which one will fit most comfortably.
They do not seem to sell any "normal "ones.

Editing: I am noy implying the German Government is worse than any other Government.
