Up for sale is the difficult to find (rare ?) Hamilton FAPD 5101 WATCH, WRIST: NAVIGATION. These watches were issued only in Sept. 1970. Much larger than the other issued watches of the same period, such as the 3818B or GG-W-113, the case measuring 47mm lug to lug and 36mm in diameter (the GG-W-113 being 3mm smaller / 33mm in diameter), and has 17mm lug width.
The 12/24 hr dial has a few minor blemishes: small nick to the finish above the 8 o'clock marker and another from the 24 hr toward the pinion. The hands look to have been painted white, covering the luminous ... an easy fix for Master Jack @ IWW. The pasivated finish (yes the debate about pickle-passivated vs. parkerized continues) is in good condition, with minor wear. The watch utilizes the Hamilton 684 movement, which includes a micro-regulating screw for timing adjustment ... keeping good time. Dustcover is missing.
For comparison to a 3818B from '66 (sorry for the poor quality of photo - a quicky, but certainly shows off the size difference !) The Benrus is also available for sale - see previous post on sales page :
Price includes shipping via USPS Priority with full insurance and delivery confirmation. Outside the US please add $20 - insurance included where available ( buyer assumes risk after it has left US).
