    FSOT: Elgin Pocketwatch Conversion

    SOLD! Thanks WUS!

I have for sale an Elgin pocketwatch conversion that I purchased off of eBay. I fell in love with it right away. It's a gorgeous conversion with an almost-new black leather band and stainless steel case. The case shows normal signs of wear with some scratches on the top left lug - which I think will be no problem to remove with my Bergeon brush :)

The movement dates to 1911 and is super clean, with engine turning on the gears and an engraved regulator.

Here is the information from the the online Elgin database:

Serial Number SN Range RunQty Name Year grade size code jewels Adj/reg/etc.
    -------------- -------- ------ ---- ---- ----- ---- ------ ------ ------------
    16579611 16579001 1000 1911 363 12s h3g2p 15j

The only caveat with this piece, and the reason why I am selling it, is that there is a problem with the stem. The time can be set, but it will not push all the way in to wind it. The watch ran beautifully before this happened.

Thus, this piece might best be suited to someone who can repair it themselves (methinks it would be easy) or someone who has access to a watch expert on the cheap. It would cost me more to fix it than it is worth to me at this time, but I would really like to see it go to a loving owner.

I'd like to get $95 via PayPal, CONUS preferred but we can talk.

I'm also interested in virtually any trade. Show me what you got, I'd love to chat.

I've sold three watches and bought one from these forums so I can provide references from those folks if you'd like.
