    SOLD -- RWC 1938A: Kampfschwimmer

SOLD to a lucky owner at an incredible price!!!

Here is a watch you won't see for sale much anymore, the RWC 1938A. You can do a search on google and read all the positive comments and reviews on this particular piece. This is inspired by, and a very CLOSE RESEMBLANCE to, the original Kampfschwimmer of the 1930s, similar to the Pam 249 (and even developed before Panerai made the Pam 249!). This is a very high quality watch with a high quality feel.

    Retrospect 1938A mechanical watch

This 1938A has been very well kept and the condition shows it. The case has hardly a mark (never polished!), and the case back has very limited and light superficial hairlines from gentle use. It is in excellent condition and well-cared for. It is 44mm and infinitely easy to wear (much better balanced than, say, a Sumo); I have small wrists and I can wear it, while my brother has an 8-inch wrist and wears it equally well when he tried it on.

This watch will come with FIVE (5) straps! They are each beautiful and will give you the flexibility with any attire for any occasion! The included high-quality screwdriver will make strap changing easy (and, yes, very easy process). Also, the screws and lug bars by RWC are very high quality pieces... but just in case, I have and will include numerous extra screws and lug bars (see pics). Not likely you'll need them any time soon, but there to ease your mind.

The ETA Unitas 6497 winds exceptionally smooth and confidently, and the movement keeps excellent time. It was serviced very recently by a very competent, local watchmaker I've used for over 15 years. This watch is an absolutely a dream to wear, and I've worn it only on rare occasions, in rotation with other special watches. (I'm not fond about moving this 1938A out of my collection because I know it's a slim chance I'll be able to find another in the future.)

$875...$800...$750...$700... SOLD AT $650 Paypal and I ship USPS Priority, insured and tracking to your front door. CONUS only and no trade please. This is an excellent example of a piece no longer available, at an excellent price.

I've done numerous transactions on WUS, all with excellent feedback!

Please PM me, or email me at (kindly remove spaces): popmartini @ gmail . com

    Thank you and good luck!

Life is short. How sad to have realized in your death bed that you've worn a crappy watch as a "daily beater" for most of your days.

No trade on this one... sorry guys!

Pump, this is one of those robust watches that will age really well with normal wabi. (I was just too afraid to put it there, but you can!)

Re: Retrospective Watch Company (RWC) 1938A: Kampfschwimmer

As you can read all over the Internet, the quality of the 1938A is extremely high and exceeds the average high quality homages to the original Kempfschwimmer. In the past, the stainless steel 1938A has been selling for around $900. Mine is in excellent condition, amazing time keeping, and with many extras.

Hope this answers all of your emails!
