    The IHC 185 has a excellent reference section, mostly devoted to American made pocket and wrist watches.

    Serial numbers for Eterna and Eterna-Matic:

    Schlid - Eterna

    Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for:

    "Seriennummern von 1900 bis 1974"

    Click on the blue bar underneath and all will be revealed, but in German.
