Exclamation [UPDATED WITH PICS!] Pic request...PRW2500 on zulu/leather straps?

    Hi guys

My trusty PAG40 finally took a dive (failed module after 3 battery changes over the years). Going to replace it with the PRW2500 (resin model).

I know it uses standard 22 lugs so was thinking if I could replace the stock rubber strap with 22 or 24mm 5 ring zulu or even a leather strap (for summer).

After recent "PRW2500 screw removal/strap" threads, there has to be some folks with the PRW2500 on after market straps .

    Got pics?

    Thanks!
    -Sandeep

Re: [UPDATED WITH PICS!] Pic request...PRW2500 on zulu/leather straps?

    Updating my own thread.

Got my titanium PRW2500 earlier this week. Already had a 24mm zulu (it's a floater strap that goes on my different watches time to time).

The screws on the PRW2500 proved a little difficult to remove (unlike the GF1000 Frogman that I did last year). Could have been loctite on the screws on something so I ended up soaking the lugs (NOT the whole watch) in warm water for 5 mins and then that did the trick.

The lugs are 22mm but does take 24mm zulu (would easily take 22mm leather straps as well).

I really like the zulu look. Totally converts the PRW into a field watch. I bought this mainly for weekends/camping trips so I'll leave it on the zulu strap from now on. Might get a 24mm leather nato to dress it up later on but for now, this will do.

The orange is a little too bright (but this is the only zulu I have right now and this is more for 'testing' purposes).

    Hopefully, this thread helps.

    Thanks
    -Sandeep

I like it on the orange Zulu - contrasts nicely with the blue tide-graph. Cool-looking summer-watch! Thanks for sharing!
