    The Casio Edifice line

I recently got reassigned at work to a job that requires a suit and tie. I've always thought suits called for a smallish analog dress watch, but lately I see men wearing somewhat chunky sport watches. If I went with a Casio Edifice would that be acceptable, or am I going too far?

There's a lot of different models in the Edifice range, some fairly small and others large and chunky. Most are chonos and would look perfectly acceptable with a suit or jacket. They are also very reasonably priced, with most around the $100 mark. The two I have pictured here are quite large at around 45mm, but fairly thin, so will fit under a long sleeve shirt. Around $130 delivered, quite stylish IMO.

I found my EFA-132 crystal scratched extremely easy. I am tough on watches, but this was ridiculous. If you're going to wear something else when you take of the suit/tie, then maybe. But if you're looking for a daily wearer that works with a suit/tie, only if you're very very easy on your watches.

Unless there is a dress code you must stick to, go for a watch you like and don't worry about what others think.

Well, I need to have something that's conservative. But I'd also like to look good when I get done at the end of the day. Any suggestions as to which Edifice model? I'm really thinking something in all stainless with a black dial.

Well I've just posted pics of three, but if you want to see what's available in the Edifice range I suggest you do an Ebay search as there's dozens of different models.

Supposedly there is one known as the "poor man's speedmaster". Does anyone know which model or models that one is?

The Casio site seems to have mostly black PVD models right now so I'm thinking it might be an older model.

You know all this information is available with a Google search. The model Edifice that looks like a Speedy is an EF503D (around $80 delivered on ebay) and if you check out the Edifice range on Ebay as I suggested, you will find dozens of stainless steel models, as well as PVD. There's also the Edifice EF546D which is a bit larger at 44mm.

Ah, the EF503D! That's exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks, I'm off to eBay.
