    very confused with 1500 line.!!

    hello!
i m very confused with the 1500 line.
    how many are there ??

while searching i find that there are
    prw
    paw
    prg.

what s up with all these!

i m looking for a black version -as i believe it will look smaller on the wrist-with tit bracelet.
i don't care for negative display if it is much expensive
    with
    atomic solar
    with abc
    and moon phases
    and tide graph.

can someone redirect me for the one please?

    PRW is for Japanese, European markets, PAW is for US, Canadian markets and the watches are branded as Pathfinder`s, PRF is for the international market and does not have "Atomic" time sync. The models of interest to you are;

    PRG-130T (positive display titanium)
    PRW-1500T (positive display titanium)
PRW-1500YTJ (JDM only positive display black & metric only)

PRG-130Y (Negative display on black on strap, PRW-1500YTJ black Ti bracelet direct fit and much cheaper)
PRW-1500Y (Negative display on black on strap, PRW-1500YTJ black Ti bracelet direct fit and much cheaper, one imported from Japan will be metric only)

    All the 130`s/1500`s;

If you are looking for colour and style options in the Casio ABC line up, the PRG-130/PRW-1500/PAW-1500 offered one of the most varied lineups, they are best seen in real life as the colours are far more vibrant, than depicted in most online images.

    PRW-1500YJ-1JF or PRG-130Y-1V

PRW-1500CAJ-3JR or PRG-130GC-3DR (Kawasaki Green if you can pull it off, a super looking sports watch)

    PRW-1500CAJ-4JR or PRG-130GC-4DR

    PRW-1500GB-1V or PRG-130GB-1VDR

PRW-1500YTJ-1JF (Japan only, if you see one outside of Japan it`s a JDM export, Casio.DE for example)

    PRW-1500TJ-7JF or PRG-130T-7VDR

    PRW-1500J-1JF or PRG-130-1VDR

All have full moon phase (8 segment, single step) & tide data & dual CDT

The PRW`s are listed out of Japan, Euro & US version have differing numbering sequences. Just go to Casio.com for you regional site for more info.

PRG`s do not have "Atomic" reception, all Japanese domestic market (JDM) Protrek`s are metric only , however most barring the "YTJ" are available in different regions with both metric & imperial measurements. The Black titanium (Ion plated) bracelet off the YTJ can be sourced and will fit any of the 1500/130 range, making a more realistic alternative to the JDM PRW-1500J-1JF which is priced for the domestic market (expensive around $800) and metric only.

PRG-130/PRW-1500 has a 24hr Chronograph, yet the CDT is only 60 min, the logging feature is very poor for an ABC only recording only two values max altitude & user recorded altitude. Typically you would expect min & max total ascent & descent, even rate of ascent & descent from an ABC watch, if this type of data is important to you don`t buy a PRG-130/PRW-1500 as you will only be disappointed. Compass has declination correction, moon & tidal data, world time, solar powered with "Atomic" clock reception. The display has the smallest primary digits of all the present triple sensors, due to the amount of information presented on the display; Well suited to mixed activities marine/land, some shallow dive activities (200m WR) etc. Late models appear to be more accurate/less drift (altimeter & barometer).

My PRG-130 just kind of snook up and quietly clocked up the wrist hours. I always thought I would move it on, as it`s ability as a field ABC is compromised for several reasons (which I still standby), however as a multifunctional digital it`s become a very hard watch to beat, for work and generally knocking about, and it offers a lot of differing looks thanks to the numerous combinations of straps, and bracelet that can be changed quickly. I now have the PRG-130 GB & GC and the negative 130Y.

If you are getting the watch from the US, look at Casio`s regional site and look for the PAW-1500 versions, most likely the PAW-1500T. The watch looks the same as the PRW-1500TJ-7JF or PRG-130T-7VDR pictured above and branded as a Pathfinder.

PRW-1500YTJ-1JF (Japan only, if you see one outside of Japan it`s a JDM export, Casio.DE for example)

...or maybe directly from Taobao.com. There are some of them for sale right now. Just take care of not buying a phony.

If you find a PRW-YTJ online and the price is too good it`s very likely to be a scam, all of the 130/1500 copies I have seen are basically rubbish. The YTJ is an expensive watch (around $800 last I looked) and will remain so with very few outside of Japan, remember as always buy the seller, first and the product second. I would in such cases strongly request an up to date picture as the YTJ is very prominent and difficult to replicate accurately. This in not a watch you will find heavily discounted new...

Buying from taobao is like buying from the source. Prizes are lower because it is the biggest online market place. There is no "special" discount at all. It is just a diffrent market with diffrent prizes. You have to allways keep in mind that they can sell phony over it too but mostly the items are marked as fakes if so.

    This as promessing example: CASIO

    Name: prw-1500ytj-1jf--02.jpg
Views: 1541
Size: 30.4 KB

    About: $688

The lowest prize is $622 right now.

If you don't speak any word of chinese and you are not a resident of china, you have to use a taobao agent or contact the seller directly by alibabatrademanager.

    In the last case: $622 + 3$ domestic shipping + service fee(622+3*10%) + shipping($30) = $717,5

With an taobao agent you save up a bit, but not that much.

Like I say if it looks to good to be true, and you still need to be careful, I lived in the China mainland for a long time, speak Mandarin and leave the reading & writing to my wife My points are more general than specific. Pricing for genuine Casio`s on the mainland is extremely high, with little discount to be had from AD`s, with a standard PRG-130T (non "Atomic" 1500) running at just short of $630 (China has an additional 20% tax on luxury watches, on top of import duties and standard taxation, only exception is for dive watches as the are considered work related)

Taobao is aggressive in removing counterfeit goods, however I wouldn't go as far as to say "same as source" there are simply too many venders to police, very much like Ebay

One more point the Casio.CN is well worth a visit as it has one of the broadest selections of Protrek`s to been seen on the Casio network

I wouldn't consider the local prizes as cheap as heck or highly discounted. You can save up money with fewer merchants involved but this advantage is lowered by using a taobao agent.

I don't think this particular Protek is what you can call a luxury watch(I only would consider it as overprized japan version) and you don't know how high or low the profit marges realy are.

Damn right. If a deal is to risky, just leave it. If a seller is trustworthy, you can buy something possibly.
