Seiko Model #SND253 Affordable Chronograph 100 Meter SS PHOTOS

This is my second Seiko (lost the first one in Mexico), and I've had this watch for 4 years. Great watch for under $125 bucks. Calendar is always a watch requirement for me, and the screw-down crown is a nice feature. Despite the slide rule, tachymeter and 3 sub-dials, the black dial is attractive and not too cluttered. This watch has held up well after daily use and infrequent swimming. Looks great under suits or casual wear. Have received compliments on the subtle styling.

The stainless steel oyster strap is a little lightweight and the Lume is not powerful at all - After light exposure, it dies after 10 minutes. I'm waiting on an Automatic (coming soon)...

    Nice photos, John.

I have to agree. I've had this watch, the blue version, for a few years and really enjoy it. Though once a pilot, I have gone back to my simpler and more legible 7002 diver for everyday.

    Thanks,
I was testing out my point and shoot's macro abilities, and thought I'd review what many would consider a very "affordable" watch. Going to post some pics of a new Lum-Tec Automatic that I'm getting in the next couple of days...

That'll be interesting. My next is going to be the Shogun/Sumo Diver. In one of the recent reviews posted in the forum, the reviewer states that the lume lasts some 7 hours! Can Lum-Tec top that? I'll look forward to your review! :D

Sumo is a sharp looking watch and a great value. I wasn't aware of the long Lume on the Sumo. Please report on its veracity when you get it in...

Back in 2005 a friend gave me this very watch to wear, it was a beauty! Too bad I was too young to be careful and in a fight I remember when it finished I had only the bracelet left in my hand and the watch was actually missing....I to this day own that ss bracelet albeit bent at the ends guess the weight of the watch caused it to leave the strap while I was landing punches:(
