    Seiko Spirit SCVSOO1

Good Sunday Afternoon All! Can Seiko Spirit Watches be bought in the U.S.? Do I have to buy one from a dealer in Japan? Any input would be helpful! I really would like to get a brand new SCVSOO1 or some watch like it. Thank You All VERY MUCH. Tardis1 Sorry! this should have been posted on the brand page forum Tardis1

As far as I know, the Spirits can only be purchased (new anyway) from a Japanese domestic supplier. The good news is that there are several top ones to pick from - I have had excellent results from Higuchi-san. Folks here can tell you more about the watch as can folks on thewatchsite.com. Both the JDM Seikos I have (an Alpinist and a Cocktail Time) are top drawer in fit, finish and accuracy. Both are more accurate than any of my Swiss watches. Do be picky - the SARBs and Spirits and similar can look a lot alike. There are subtile differences you should get to know prior to purchase - that said they are all good, just different. Do be aware that the bracelets and straps can sometimes be short for American wrists, but extra links can be had, or alternate straps used. My Cocktail Time has a nice long strap, so amybe Seiko has got the length thing figured out as this is a newer model. Not an issue if you aren't large-wristed anyway, and minor enough if you are.
