    SNZG17 or SNZG13

    Hi everyone!

I have been following watchuseek forums for quite o long time, but never have registered. I need a new "everyday watch", and I like very simple models. I'm wondering about Seiko SNZG serie: simple, classic and robust (as far as I know). I would like to know if anyone could tell me if the SNZG17 (black gun metal) would be any better than the SNZG13 regarding color issues. My doubt is more about the color fade and the scratches on the dark painting. Does anyone have any experience about that? Any comment would be very much appreciated.

Not sure what the SNZG13 but if it has a black "PVD" coating on the case and band I think you'd be right to avoid it. The finish will wear off with normal use and show stainless steel beneath. The SNZG17 is a good looking watch that should take abuse better than a coated watch. Should last much longer.
