Heavy weight calf hide is used on this shrapnel series. Straps are distressed in a barrel filled with shrapnel like objects: gravel, nails, screws, sharp steel fragments ...... This distress process gives a natural and worn out look on the straps. After cleaning and drying, straps are placed in a jar and immersed in leather conditioner. Air is pumped out from the jar, so the conditioner can penetrate deep into the pores of the hide. This conditioning process softens the straps and enhances the pull-up look.
