If not, anybody know of any good alternatives? Thanks.

I believe the Vantages are discontinued. Take a look at Sinn watches.
39mm Rolex Explorer. A little bit more expensive, though. :)
Another alternative might be the Time Factors PRS-25 Smiths Everest.
Omega makes a very nice 3 6 9 Explorer knock off.
You might also try IWC.

It's not an exact match, but as someone pointed out in another thread, this Orient has an Explorer vibe:
Probably around $150 USD
Rolex makes a nice Vantage knockoff. :-0

Life is short. How sad to have realized in your death bed that you've worn a crappy watch as a "daily beater" for most of your days.

Yes, discontinued, but you can still find them if your really looking. Often, people wanting to buy an Omega tend to buy the larger versions of an Omega model, leaving the more 'modest' models untouched in the shop.
On my biggest watch related mistakes of 2011 was not jumping in when Bill offered us the last bunch of Vantages. I should have bought a second one. Mind you, the Vantage is by far the best 'holiday watch' one can own: built like a diver, but without that annoying sand between the bezel and the case!
