Blackwater Mods

Guys:

Not that I've stopped looking, but I've kind of accepted that a no-date, type 2 Blackwater is going to be almost impossible to find. However, Blackwaters with other configurations pop up in sale posts from time so I was thinking about buying one and having it modified. Could anybody suggest a person or company that can do what MKll used to do? At a minimum I'd like to have a 12 hour bezel, a type 2 dial, and type 2 hands installed.

A better solution might be a "swap" thread in this forum where MKII owners could swap dials and hands with other owners. I know WUS has a WTT section, but it is time consuming to sort through all the posts in that forum. For instance, I have a Blackwater with a Type 1 date dial and I would like to swap it for a Type 2 date dial, but I've never seen one for sale.

I understand. If the moderators and site ownership change their minds, I believe this would be a good forum to try it.

To clarify my earlier post, my idea of a "swap" thread would be swapping parts from MKII watches with no swapping of complete watches and no money changing hands.

Rather than posts in the main MKII forum, you guys may want to request a Sub-Forum for your needs. We have a number of sub-forums in the official forum that I help moderate and they are useful in keeping the main forum clean and on-topic. The MKII mods may be more open to that as it meets the needs of the forum users while maintaining order.

If the mods are not amenable to that, please keep in mind that they have their reasons.
