    Blackwater size

Hello all, great to be here.

Newbie with a question. I'm very interested in the MMT Blackwater. My only concern is the size. I realize it's a bit larger than the traditional Submariner. But how much. I know the numbers, but not being able to see it in the flesh makes the decision difficult. The Sub is about as large as I feel comfortable with on my 6.5-6.75" wrist (depending on the time of year). I'm not one of those which like BIG watches (no offense to you who do). Would it possible to see photos either of a Blackwater on a wrist similar in size, or maybe a photo of a Blackwater next to a Sub? Any other observations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance and GREAT forum, Mark

Mark....the Blackwater is my favorite watch in the MKII line. If you like the Sub, you'll love the Blackwater. It is touch & go buying "boutique" watches when you can't try on. I don't have any comparo pics and wrist shots distort size. The Blackwater is a very sleek watch, one of the most comfy watches I own....I have 2 now...I had a Seafighter, but that was too big for me...traded it for another Blackwater!
I have wrists on the smaller side...6.75", maybe a bit more when I get hot, puffy & sweaty( a pretty picture, no?) and the Blackwater disappears on my wrist. Here are a couple of pics.
ps...case length is important to me in sizing comparos and the Blackwater has decent case length( lug to lug) under 48mm long, like Sub.

    No worries

The watch wears well...not crazy large at all. You will be fine!
If you have tried on a seiko skx007/173...here is a compare:

Its the most elegant watch I own. IMO even more than my Seamaster. You will not be disappointed. Your wrist will handle it no problem.

The Blackwater wears fairly small, and is very comfortable. It was the favorite MKII that I owned because of the comfort.

I too agree that the Blackwater is an ideal comfort watch for the 6 3/4" wrist which I also have; The problem with watches with lug to lug of over 48 mm is that they don't wear well for most of us in this wrist size; which is why:

I WISH BILL WOULD OFFER THE QUAD 10 IN A MIDSIZE !!!! Let him know if you agree?
