    fake?

hey guys! just wanted to get your inputs. i just bought a rotary editions701c and i noticed that mine has a different back. instead of the 1895 engraved in the back, i have a quarter sized window that shows the movement. did i get a fake watch? thanks in advance!

to the mods-sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

If you think you bought a MkII, then I would be very worried that it is fake.

This is the MKII forum, it's a watch brand.

This is the wrong forum, and if you want to know if your's is a fake, why don't you "google" Rotary 701C and look at the photos of the watch. It would be hard to believe that they would fake a watch that sells on the internet in a dozen places for 119.00 USD!!

    I understand your pain.
I once showed up to a UFC championship in ballet tights by accident.

Life is short. How sad to have realized in your death bed that you've worn a crappy watch as a "daily beater" for most of your days.

    Re: fake?

It apparently uses a Sea-gull ST-16, which is fine. But it does mean that a fake version of the watch would probably be pretty comparable to the real thing.

yeah it's probably a fake. A lot of fakes have clear backs to show off the movement.
