An idea for another MkII model >>>

This one is an oversized Rolex Precision (reference unknown) and picture from the interwebs (I think from VRF). The crown would have to be beefed up and the crystal could either be a domed sapphire or an acrylic one (gasp!). I love the dial, hands and size though:

    Fantastic!

I love everything about this watch, well except that it has no date :D

Not bad at all. Somewhat related: A 40s style California dial would be great to see too:

100% with this- put a date at 6 and I'd have a hard time saying no
    I'll be your devil's advocate...

No problem Bill, offer two versions as SOP (standard operating procedure): date and no-date

Please put me down for a no-date version and serial #001 please

Now let's have a poll to name it

I think my tastes aren't refined enough, this watch does nothing for me. And the california dial ones evoke feelings of active distaste. Other than the high-precision outer dial, the case, crown, dial, and hands are a complete meh for me. Glad that you guys like it. But you better get in line behind the Project 300 .

I have found a source for ETA-28XX compatible destro dials (9 o'clock crown, 3 o'clock window). If you're curious of the source feel free to send me a PM.

+1. I have never understood the so-called California dial, and it seems even more of a mis-matched jumbled up mess with the ball and stick hands. Like Enkidu said, I'm glad somebody loves these things but it does nothing for me.

I've been searching high and low for a nice cali-dial piece. It would certainly be nice if MKII offered one, especially in a brushed case!

WTF is with the mismatched Roman and Arabic numerals, top and bottom? I'm from California and we are not all that freaky.... :what:

I love the cases in the 1st and 2nd images, but the hands on the second are horribly mismatched. Imho naturally...
