The Black Bay is not my cup tea. The colour of the bezel is wrong, the crown with the Tudor flower and how the crown sits on the bezel, with a hint of red between it and the bezel. The hands look odd too, I think cpotters is right...they are the wrong size.

However the Pelagos I like! Love the brushed steel and the cornino crown guards...nice touch.

    Good points.

My bet: there will be some folks who try to have Tudor offer a custom black bezel with a red triangle insert (but leave the red crown collar, just for fun) and have the company swap hands, or do it themselves. You will see these - not a lot of them, mind you - within a month
Black bezel with red triangle like the Kingston would look great on it. Still not sure about the red crown collar though...that's the one thing I can't quite get past

I actually don't mind the snowflake hands on the Black Bay but I can see how folks might not like the combo.

Some forum folks photoshopped a black bezel on it which looked great. The red on the tube would be harder to change or cover.

However, at some point in the distant future, they may not have crown parts that maintain the red hue.

Always a soft spot for the snowflake...and thus been waiting for my soprod A OWC... For the Black Bay, can't get into the red bezel or crown neck ( just throws the whole design off and cheapens it...seiko5-ish almost. The Pelagos tho is Nice...tho I am not a Titanium fan.

    Re: Interesting new Tudors

Just went over to the Rolex Website. honestly, the Rolex watches are getting so far out, they have almost zero appeal to me. I'm 68 years old, and I was a young adult up in the era of the 1665, 1680, Air king, and if you really wanted bling, you sprung for a 18K Day/Date "President".
Although I could never see me with a "Sky Dweller" on my wrist, I do admire some of the new technology (At least it's new for Rolex!!) that goes into that watch.

I rather like the concept of the "Black Bay" I can see it being offered with a Black Bezel insert and a black collar behind the Crown. I think the Snowflake hands look really odd on this particular watch. possibly square indices would help, but Mercedes hands would be a home run. With Mercedes hands and a Black bezel insert, I could see myself selling off a couple of watches for this one. Otherwise, I already have a 9411/0 Tudor Sub with a blue Dial and blue insert Snowflake hands and square indices.

I like them both a LOT. The Pelagos is so well done. I am going to have to find out the price and see if it would be possible to set it as my grail. I like the Black Bay but no bracelet? I also wonder if they will come out with more color combos in the near future.
