    Picture Kingston VS Nassau

I am posting a poll to see which watch people prefer. I have a Kingston and have not seen the Nassau in person but the pics of both watches are great. Really a little bummed I missed out on ordering a Nassau but I truly cannot justify it at this time.

    Here are some pics:

Nassau Photos from bottom of the ninth

    More here:

This poll is open to all fans, both foreign (Non-MKII Owners) and domestic (MKII Owners) and is not intended to insult any watch or owner.

    Re: Kingston VS Nassau

I guess the Kingston due to the gilt dial option.

Other than the gilt dial and kingston bezel; sort of the same watch as the Nassau which is currently configured with the Kingston 8 mm barrel crown setup.

I guess I would look at the Nassau as all business and the Kingston as the more refined/dress version but by no means less capable than the Nassau.

A few comparo pics if the copy function works from post to post.....

So, here are a few pics with the stablemates together....

I voted Kingston, but it's close. I have a Kingston on order, and plan to order a Nassau when available.

If I had been a Kingston owner I would have ordered it in the Nassau configuration except with the gilt dial/hands. I don't know though... Those white dial markers and the second hand are really growing on me. I love the red triangle and blue lume. I cannot decide whether I want to grab the new Rolex 114060 or save some serious change and go Nassau once I get to order one again. Decisions...

    I say Nassau. :)

    Re: Kingston VS Nassau

I was fortunate enough to pick up a Kingston L34 (no date dial) from the original owner (one of the first group). I really like both watches, but if I had to choose one, it would be Kingston.

In my opinion, that gilt dial and hands set it far apart from all others that I have seen. The perfect proportions, the way the combination reflects differently under different lighting, and its seeming 'personality', sometimes bright and brilliant, sometimes seeming 'dark and hidden', and then revealed; flashing - pictures are really worth ten thousand words on this aspect.

But as others have said about the Kingston, once you see and handle one in person, only then can you understand and appreciate the completely engrossing effect of it all.

I don't have a Nassau, but I could (maybe) see purchasing one, once they are available in a date-dial configuration.

But I am also looking for a similar appeal from Project GMT where I am also pre-ordered/plank owner- That will have to come first.

    -Best to all...

I am expecting my second MKII next week. I can say all of Bill's creations are unrivaled!

By looking at those beautiful fotos, I think I am more tempted by Nassau, however as everybody agrees, Kingston is also a winner and very similar to Nassau + that gorgeous gilt dial.

Boo! No fun unless you tell us which MKII! I look forward to pics and hope you like it when you get it.

My vote had to go with the Kingston, as its deep black dial with gilt hands and indices sets it apart from any other Submariner homage.

Dear White Tuna, thank you very much for your kind words. I would like it to be a surprise, and I promise to post a lot of fotos

When I said my second MKII, I made one of my biggest horological mistakes by selling the Seafighter to a very valuable and noble member of ours. Now this will be my only (For now, of course) MKII.

    Very Best Regards . . .

Surprise? I like surprises! OK, I can wait. :)

BTW, the Nassau seems to be holding its own. I am not surprised. I think while a lot of people like/love the gilt dial it may be less desireable/a turn off for others. Interesting.
