Okay, I get your frustration now. Sorry bro for the lecture on waiting in the other thread. I guess once you start receiving watches you're going to feel better. That's a lot of waiting. :banghead:

I just think it is sad that anyone should need a lecture on waiting over a year for a fully paid product.

Thanks for sharing your research, Dude. Great pics too, guys!

Have to say that the Nassau is a beautiful looking watch. Was about to place an order when the lead time went from 2 weeks, a reasonable amount of time, to 20 weeks, which in MKII time could easily turn into a 30 -40 week wait.
Paying upfront for a product that does not show up for at least 6 months is a little crazy. But, placing an order and reserving it with a valid credit card, not to be charged until the order is shipped/built is another matter all toghter.
If Bill was willing to incorporate that philosophy I'd put the order in.

And why exactly would he be doing that when his watches are sold out as soon as he releases info about them? Furthermore, it allows him to have zero uncertainty about paying his suppliers. Cant imagine i would switch to your suggested method in his shoes..

    Re: Nassau

The reason is called customer care. One of the main tenets of any good business. I purchase handmade holsters from a company called Brigade Leather. Their wait times are almost as long as MK II. One of the ways that they keep customers happy, besides a great product, is to not charge the card until the build begins and to provide updates on the statues of the order.

I would opine that those of you who do not like MKII's business practices to vote with your pocketbooks by not purchasing. So far the market demand has spoken loudly that despite the less than ideal operations, people are willing to put up with it to receive a high quality meticulously assembed watch.

Some of us have done just that. My 3 year wait for a Kingston - which I flipped without even taking the plastic off of it - taught me I didn't have the patience for this business model. When the Nassau was released I briefly considered getting one until I saw the wait times.

They may be nice watches but unless they are in stock and shipping within a day or two of the order a lot of folks like me will pass.
