    yes - it differentiates it from being a clone of the SM300

    either way it's not a deal breaker for me

    Yes.

    Circle-Y is a nice homage to the Mk II dials of old and balances out the Mk II Automatic above the hands.

    Considering the strong opinions for this watch and the GMT, perhaps the Circle Y has a place on the caseback of every MKII watch.
