Alternatives to the "Third Hand" bracelet tool?

I have a 1500T incoming and I will have adjust the bracelet immediately to put extra links in. I understand that this will require two screw drivers to accomplish. Any advice on a more economical tool than the Bergeon 3rd hand to help with this task? I don't want to mar the bracelet adding links or changing it out to a rubber strap trying to use two screw drivers.

    Thanks

I would worry more about marring the case around the lug screws than the bracelet links. One way to do it safely would be to use a hole punch on a small piece of scotch tape and place it around the lug screw to protect the finish.

BTW, it's interesting that you sold your 300 re-issue to get a 1500t, while I did just the opposite.

I use 2 screwdrivers, one in my left hand that holds it steady and I unscrew with my right. Good luck.

Good idea, with the tape, I'll try that. The only reason I sold the 300 was that it was just too small for my big wrist, other than that it was great.

Ive got a 1500 project aware.

Had a look at the "third hand" tool, and decided I can make one for a fraction…

There's a plethora of delrin in the shop. When I come up with something that works, I'll post the 3D model.
