    Bit of a teaser.........

I know that all Doxaholics just can't have enough info on Doxa so I've been beavering away on an digital book for all you iPad and Kindle and Nook fans. It has been a royal pain in the arse trying to get to grips with Mobi and ePub and formatting etc but I think I'm almost there. So here is a teaser for what should end up around 60 pagees when finished. It is the last 10 years of the Doxa SUB. Nowhere near as detailed as the Doxa book and borrows shamelessly from it but also adds a whole bunch of info on the new editions.

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6580802/The%...%20Millar.epub

This is an epub version wich will work on iBooks on the iPad and Aldiko on a Galaxy Tab. I just got a 7 inch Android tablet which is 1024 x 600 which I believe is the resolution for the Tab, Nook and Kindle Fire. I've been using Aldiko and it seems to flow and format pretty well and text will resize withough trashing everything. It looks better on the iPad but I think it loooks pretty slick on the 7inch tablets too.

Of course I have no idea how it will look on a Kindle or Nook or even what format they take. I installed the Kindle app on my ipad and 7 incvh tablet and they laughed at the ePub. Any suggestions on what to do for them will be gratefully accepted.

Hope you enjoy it so far.

    Pete

Oh I forgot to say. It will be free. That should get the customers in ...ha, ha, ha

Very nice, Pete. I love it in iBooks.

You can use Calibre to convert from epub to mobi: calibre - E-book management

It is free, and it comes with a viewer on the PC so you can see what the eventual mobi will look like. I have used calibre for years and it does the job.

Good Luck and do let us know if you still need more information.

    Kind Regards

Okay Pete, I'll bite. Will there be a print version? (For those of us who've yet to get "tabbed").

WRT the Customers coming in droves with the E version being free, I do hope you're not thinking you'll make it up in volume .

Tariq. Thanks I'll check Calibre out.

T Bone. I'll do a PDF version for the non tablet guys. Yea I'm working on the stack em high, sell em cheap principle except substituting sell em cheap with give em away. Not much of a business model I suspect :)

Well hit the 50 page mark tonight and no end in sight. Doxa actualyy released a bunch of watches over the last 10 years. Quite staggering actually once you sit down and work through them.... I'm trying to be fancy with this and make a clickable Table of Contents. Its fun.Pete
