Doxa Mission 31: New Love Affair

Been meaning to post a little something about my new Mission 31.

Mine arrived a couple weeks ago, and man, I am sooooo in love with this thing! It really does not wear big, and the titanium makes this one crazy comfortable watch for a smaller wrist. The one bummer was that my tools were not good enough to size the bracelet myself. One screwdriver kept spinning while the other attempted to loosen the screw. Thanks to the folks at the Fashion Valley Tourneau for hooking me up with a bracelet sizing. It was sized, on my wrist, and off to a music festival in the mountains of Santa Barbara. The lume was just what you want in your dark tent!

It's been in the dirt/dust and already in the water - up close and personal to a big purple striped jellyfish. Feels pretty good to be wearing orange again

Here are a couple of wrist shots. My wrist is around 6.5 inches around. I tend to adjust my bracelets between 6.5 and 6.75 inches depending on the watch. I'd have to double check, but I had at least 4 links removed.

My pleasure! I thought this also a great opportunity to compare the three different subs as well.

The dials have obviously evolved via the thickness of the lines and script. What I like most about the old 300T is the thickness of the date font.

The Mission 31 sits at 44mm wide, but compared to the other two subs, it isn't a ginormous hulk.

What is a trip it is to handle these three all at once. The Mission 31 is ridiculously lighter than the other two. The polished titanium finish on the back of the case really gives the Mission 31 such a different texture than steel. It's smooth, obviously, but it sort of wants to stick to your finger tips, unlike steel where your skin sort of glides over it. It's the best way I can describe the feeling.

I do find the case thicknesses interesting. The old 300T really was/is a seriously nice chunk of milled and formed steel.

Hey Omar, thanks for the beautiful comparison pics...the M31 looks great with your 2 other beauties, noting your reference to weight and date font...it's going to feel great to slip the mission on the wrist and enjoy that difference, I reckon it will kind of make the rotation really vary in a cool way!! Top stuff mate..Dave
