    Doxa sub 200 T.graph found

    Hello,
I am new to this forum but need some input.
my mother found a sub200 tgraph during a move to another house.
When typing in the name to the www I found a couple of notes that it might be an expenisve piece...
Now as I am not a collector of watches I am thinking to sell it. It seems to work, while I do not know of all functions are working. It is used but not in a bad condition as far as I can judge...
Can anybody help me and tell me how to sell it best?

Great find!!! The vintage 200t Doxa is VERY desirable and collectible. Assuming it's all original and not beat to hell, you've got a great watch on your hands. What color is the dial? If its not running, i would recommend having it serviced by a reputable watchmaker. It would be worth it for this watch because a non-functioning one wouldn't command nearly as much money.

Once you determine what its worth, I would suggest just starting a thread in the sales section of watchuseek. I do see doxas occasionally on eBay but I think you'll get much more serious buyers here. If you sell on this forum, or another like it, however, you'll have to have a set price in mind since its not an auction. That's where it can get a little tricky. You could google "FS Doxa 200t" and then go through the various sold watches to get a sense of what it's worth. Start a little high and negotiate from there. Once you take some pictures of it, you can also post the watch on the doxa forum and I'm sure some of the members who are most familiar with this watch will be able to help you determine what it's worth. And when you sell it, provide all the details you can, including the story on where the watch originated. This will help with the final sale.

    Good luck!!

Nice find! Recognizable by the big secondhand (with triangle end) I would date this watch to 1969/70, so it's one of the early TGs. Overall in good optical condition for this age. Perhaps the hands need to be restored. The dark old lume doesn't look good. But this is incidental.

A real plus is the original bor-band which adds more value. If the movement and all chronofunctions work fine your TG will bring good cash if you wanna sell it. For this follow the helpful advices 'tfarchio' described above. Good luck for this!

Congrats on having a GREAT watch. Personally, I wouldn't service it if it is running. I would sell it "as-is" so that the buyer could have it serviced by a watchmaker of their choosing. That T-graph looks to be in fantastic condition, and it could easily by mismanaged by a watchmaker that is not accustomed to servicing Doxas or vintage watches.

Just my opinion, and congrats again. (BTW, very detailed and close-up pictures and a sale on EBay would probably get you the best price)
    Best Regards,
    Jason

    Hi again,
I had the watch at a watchmaker in Germany that really delivered a great service!
Anyway the problem is that one part (the setting lever, if I translate correct) is broken and he can´t get it anymore.
Does anybody have an idea where I could get it or is there any specialized watchmaker that could repair the watch?

    Thanks!

That is the problem with that Eberhart movement. Its a really cool movement but parts are hard to find--not impossible--takes patience.

What Jason71 was basically telling you was that any attempts of restoration/repair runs the risk of losing value to us as collectors.
