    Gothic Jar Proof Watch Corp.

Only to this incredibly experienced and generous crowd would I direct such a well, indirect, question.

My sister-in-law recently inherited a ladies' watch manufactured by the Gothic Jar Proof Watch Corp. which, at least about seventy-five years ago, was located in West 57th Street here in New York City.

Any of my astute colleagues out there have any knowledge to share about the Company, its products, or its history? Any information would be greatly appreciated; my sister-in-law is deeply immersed in the family genealogy and this watch is stumping her.

    Thanks,

    Larry

    Larry,

I'd say your best bet is to ask over on the vintage forum here on WUS. Posting a picture will be a huge help as well. Good luck in your quest.

Thanks to my fellow Doxaholics for their kind responses. Evidently, the Gothic Jar Proof Watch Corp., like many other going concerns here in Manhattan, has gone without a trace.

I second the idea of inquiring over on the Vintage and Pocket Watch Forum here on Watchuseek. There are some extremely knowledgeable collectors over there, very likely someone may have at least a tidbit or two of info on this maker (maybe more!).
    Regards, T Bone.

Larry, did you ever find out more info on this watch? I've come to own something same or similar and looking for more info. Actually looking to sell it and trying to figure out what the value may be!

    Thanks,

    Julie S.
