Heard of DUXOT? Is it related to Doxa?

Hi all

I have been looking at a pair of old Duxot divers. Rather ratty condition, but not too expensive and I like the dial designs.

I haven't been able to find any information on Duxot ... other than the fact that most of them seem to show up out of Israel, and the seller says that many were issued to the Israeli Defence Force in the 1960s.

Does anyone know about this brand? In my searches, I see many posts labelling it "Duxot Doxa" ... which leads me to wonder if they were made by Doxa and sold in Israel only marked as Duxot , or is somehow a secondary Doxa line of watches (like Tudor to Rolex) ...

I know they became defunct during "The Great Japanese quartz revolution".

I have none. But sometimes a post "slips through the cracks", and no one responds . Hopefully, with this one bumped up, someone with knowledge of the brand may toss in some info.

From what I can tell, it's only one seller(from Israel) that ties DOXA to Duxot. I have no idea if DOXA had anythign to do with Duxot, but I did send the seller a message asking why he claims there is a relationship between the two. I'll let you know if he responds.
