For those that follow the Dive Watch Forum's WRUW threads, you may already know that my 750T has a little "Crown Separation Anxiety". Yep, it just came right out.
I contacted Doxa and they responded that they could certainly do the work in the states () but they were so swamped with restorations that they might not be able to take mine for a few months (). They did suggest however that, should I have a competently trained Swiss watch repair person, they would sell me any parts I might need to repair the watch.
Now, I have had some work done by some of the great guys on the forums, but it has so far been limited to crystal replacement, case polishing and the like. If they are going to be digging around in the guts of my 750, I'd like it to be someone who has seen the inside of a Doxa more than twice.
Has anyone used someone in particular for Doxa work before? I was going to have some cosmetic work done as well, but really want someone who could return the movement to working order, maybe give it a thorough service, ect.
If I can find no one that comes recommended here, I'm inclined to wait. I would hate to leave my 750 in the watch box for several months awaiting repair, but would hate even worse to subject it to shoddy work.
As always thanks for the responses!
